Este prezent si in alimentele de origine animala. Colesterolul sustine multe functii esentiale ale corpului, dar nivelurile ridicate pot duce la probleme de sanatate.</span></span></p>
<p lang="en-GB"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Un colesterol ridicat nu provoaca simptome, dar poate creste riscul de boli de inima si accident vascular cerebral. </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Insa exista cateva modalitati naturale de a reduce colesterolul fara medicamente si anume:</span></p>

<p lang="en-GB"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Acizii grasi trans nesaturati sunt grasimi vegetale nesaturate care au suferit un proces industrial numit hidrogenare, care le face solide la temperatura camerei. <p lang="en-GB"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Legumele, nucile si pestele sunt bogate in grasimi mononesaturate. Aceste grasimi iau forma lichidelor la temperatura camerei. Sursele bune de grasimi mononesaturate includ:</span></p>

<p lang="en-GB"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Grasimile polinesaturate includ acizii grasi omega-3 si omega-6. </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Sursele dietetice de grasimi polinesaturate includ:</span></p>

<li lang="en-GB"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">nuci;</span></li>
<li lang="en-GB"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">peste, cum ar fi somonul, tonul si pastravul;</span></li>
<li lang="en-GB"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">uleiuri vegetale, cum ar fi soia, porumbul si uleiurile de floarea-soarelui.</span></li>
</ul>
<p lang="en-GB"><strong><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Mai multe fibre solubile</span></strong></p>
<p lang="en-GB"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Fibrele solubile absorb apa pentru a crea o pasta groasa, asemanatoare unui gel, in tractul digestiv al unei persoane. Fibrele solubile nu numai ca sustin sanatatea digestiva, ci si scad nivelul colesterolului LDL si promoveaza sanatatea inimii in general. </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Alimentele bogate in fibre solubile includ:</span></p>
